 History

New Hope School was founded in 1996 by concerned parents who were interested in establishing a challenging academic as well as moral educational environment for their children.

Working at first out of the home of one of these parents, the school gradually expanded and, in 2002, relocated to its present location at the Athenia Reformed Church at 780 Clifton Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey. Our enrollment currently comprises students from 26 countries embracing Christian, Muslim and Oriental religious traditions.

From the beginning New Hope School has been offering a curriculum based upon universal values that have been at the basis of all the world's great religious and cultural traditions. Specifically, we seek to promote family values together with a vigorous academic program to develop our student's hearts and intellects in preparation for an adult life of living for the sake of others.

Terra Nova Test Results Up Again! - Monday, May 31, 2010

We just received our Terra Nova test results and the news is very good. For the second year in a row, the overall test scores are up over the previous year, clear evidence that the Core Knowledge curriculum we have been in the process of implementing is having great beneficial effects for our students. This past school year marked the second year of a three-year process of fully implementing the Core Knowledge curriculum. This year all grade levels except one are in the 80th percentile and above, the first time this has happened since students began taking the Terra Nova exams several years ago.  We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of our hard-working teachers and a hearty congratulations to their students for a tremendous performance on this year's tests.
