The end of the school year is approaching and we wish to thank all of you for your consistent support of the school over the past nine months. Your involvement in the school on behalf of your children demonstrates your interest in their growth and development, both academically and morally. As you know, their education takes place not only here at the school but at home as well. Therefore, a harmonious working relationship between the school and home is essential for the wholesome upbringing of children. Again, we appreciate your ongoing support.
In particular, we wish to thank everyone for their support of this year’s Tricky Tray. Especially we would like to recognize Ed Mathews, Jennifer Yashiro, Mirjana Stankovic and Rosario Olgado for their untiring efforts to bring it all about. One of our parents wrote the following about the event: “After carefully scanning the prizes and placing my tickets strategically, I very much enjoyed the conversation before and during the meal. The food was scrumptious … (and) I was excited to go home with more than $50 worth of prizes that I personally wanted. If you missed this one, be sure not to make the same mistake twice! There were many winners.”
Because of the Tricky Tray’s success and also the great result of our Race for Education in April we will be able to install a new playground this summer in the far corner of the parking lot. Please watch for it!
We wish to thank parents for their support of the children in this year’s Science Fair. They all did a wonderful job!
Please look for your children’s Terra Nova test results which we will be sending home to you together with your child’s report card.
Final Note
Please note that Friday, June 11, is the final day of school. School will finish at 12:30 pm with no after care. Our end-of-the-year concert will be held on Tuesday evening, June 8. You are also welcome to attend our Field Day events on Thursday, June 10.
We look forward to a good finish to the school year and wish you all a safe and exciting summer.
